About me
I am a Clinical Psychologist with over 20 years of experience working in mental health and physical health settings in the UK and Australia. I pride myself on creating a safe, non-judgmental therapeutic space where clients feel comfortable expressing themselves and exploring the concerns they bring to therapy.
I work with individuals experiencing a wide range of psychological difficulties, including anxiety, depression, trauma, adjustment issues, relationship challenges, grief, and loss. I also have extensive experience supporting people with physical illnesses, including cancer and long-term health conditions, addressing the emotional and relational challenges these conditions can bring. In addition to individual therapy, I provide couples therapy to help clients navigate relational difficulties.
I am passionate about supporting the health and well-being of sexual and gender minority communities (LGBTQIA+). For over 10 years, I have provided therapy to LGBTQIA+ individuals and couples, addressing issues around sexuality, identity, and relationships. My work has included supporting intersex individuals and collaborating with organizations that serve the intersex community, as well as gay, bisexual, and trans parents.
My therapeutic approach is grounded in cognitive and behavioral theory (CBT) and informed by Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT). I also draw on concepts from Systemic Therapy and Narrative Therapy. I work collaboratively with my clients to ensure therapy is tailored to each individual that the work we do together is both meaningful and effective.

Adjusting to and managing cancer and long-term physical health conditions can be emotionally and mentally taxing. Psychological interventions can help people cope with the psychological impact of ill health, providing tools and support to improve quality of life and mental health. This includes support with managing anxiety, grief, changes in role, and the complex emotions that often accompany diagnosis and treatment.

People who have survived childhood and adolescent cancers often face late effects due to the illness and long-term impacts of cancer treatments. These late effects include emotional, psychological, and social aspects of wellbeing. Some common challenges may include anxiety and fear of recurrence, depression and emotional distress, neurocognitive late effects, body image and identity challenges, social and relationship difficulties, PTSD symptoms, fertility and issues with sexual functioning, and challenges around employment.
